We now use Git as our version control system. Git is free and open source. We chose it because it provides us with the best set of features for our needs.
Git is distributed version control system focused on speed, effectivity and real-world usability on large projects. Its highlights include distributed development, strong support for non-linear development, efficient handling of large projects, cryptographic authentication of history and toolkit design. Git also has GUIs for Mac and Windows, as well as a text-mode interface.
